Our ride was abruptly stopped one morning when we found the shared cycle/footway at on the edge of Worcester city littered with thorns from a recently cut hedge.
Other cyclists using this safe route for their commute / ride to school suffered multiple punctures and disruption to their journey.
We call for better communication between Highways and landowners to ensure any works affecting pedestrian and cycle infrastructure are carried out to a high standard and that users aren’t forgotten.
