ROOM TO RIDE
So, we've got this idea. It's called Room to Ride, and it's all about making our streets a bit less, well, "Game of Thrones" for cyclists. Thanks to funding from West Mercia Police, we're going to be creating some top-notch videos and social media stuff to get drivers thinking differently.
We're not just aiming for a pat on the back; we want to spark real change on our roads.
What's the Plan?
We're kicking things off this summer with a deep dive into what makes a successful road safety campaign. We'll be chatting with experts, gathering stories from local cyclists, and looking at what's worked well elsewhere.
By the autumn, we'll be getting creative, turning all that research into some hard-hitting content. We want to show the human side of cycling and highlight the issues that really matter, like close passes and drivers not paying attention.
We're aiming to have everything ready to go by the end of the year, with a big launch planned for spring 2026.
Our Goals
Get people thinking
We want to start a conversation about road safety and get everyone thinking about how we can share our streets more respectfully.
Make a real difference
Our ultimate goal is to see a reduction in close passes and other dangerous driving behaviours.
Show the human side of cycling
We want to remind everyone that cyclists are just people trying to get from A to B, not obstacles to be avoided.
How You Can Get Involved
We're always looking for people to help us out. Here are a few ways you can get involved:
Share your story: Have you had a close pass? Or a really positive experience with a driver? We want to hear about it. Your stories will help us show the reality of cycling in Worcester. You can use the form below to send us your experiences.
Follow us on social media: We'll be posting updates on our progress, so give us a follow to stay in the loop.
Spread the word: When our campaign launches, we'll need your help to get it in front of as many people as possible. Share our videos, tell your friends, and help us make a difference.
Give us your feedback: We'd love to hear your thoughts on the project. Fill out the form below to let us know what you think.
