Bike Worcester: Strategy Launch

Launching a new strategy for Bike Worcester

If organising the Global Bike Bus Summit told us anything about our community group, it’s that together we are a powerful, inspirational group with huge potential. We want to harness the energy and focus of our amazing volunteers and we are very proud to share our new strategy document.

This isn’t just a collection of lofty ideals—it’s a practical, people-powered plan to make cycling in Worcester safer, easier, and more inclusive for everyone. This is what we got up to in 2024.

We’ve come a long way since our early days of organising Critical Mass rides and setting up the first school Bike Buses. Now, with 16 active Bike Bus routes, a thriving bike recycling scheme, and regular Kidical Mass rides bringing families together, we’ve built a movement that’s reshaping how our city moves. Our new strategy builds on this momentum, focusing on expanding these initiatives, enhancing cycling infrastructure, and fostering a culture where choosing to cycle is the norm, not the exception.

This strategy is a living document, shaped by the voices of our community and the realities of our streets. It outlines our key aims and activities, from advocating for safer routes and better infrastructure to supporting inclusive events and educational programs. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or just curious about getting started, we invite you to join us in making Worcester a city where everyone can enjoy the ride.
